What Is Motif Investing?

Motif investing is the easiest way to create a diversified portfolio to generate wealth growth. It’s common knowledge that in the long term strategy of holding, adding money to your portfolio and letting compound interest to work its magic is indubitably the best way to increase your wealth.

It may be boring and unexciting but can still be difficult to obtain. Motif investing seeks to streamline this process. In the past, you met with a financial advisor, hoped that the person had your best interests at heart, and developed a diverse portfolio towards your risk tolerance. However, those days are no longer.

Especially for those just beginning, creating a diverse portfolio can be daunting at first. We here at The Welch Tribune streamline this process for you using Motif Investing. We created a slew of Motifs to suit your needs for a well-diversified portfolio.

The formula doesn't need to be complicated. Pick a Core motif from our list (insert hyperlink to the website list of motifs). This Motif will make up 40% of your total portfolio. Then, pick a Bond motif from our list(insert hyperlink to the website list of motifs).

The Bond motif will also make up 40% of your total portfolio. Next, pick an international motif from our list(insert hyperlink to the website list of motifs). This Motif will make up 10% of your total portfolio. Then pick a commodity, alternative, or Forex motif from our list(insert hyperlink to the website list of motifs).

This is the last 10%. Say you have $10,000. The break down would be: 4K investing in your core, 4K investing in bonds, 1K invested in international markets, and 1K investing in commodities, Forex or alternatives. Congratulations -- you have a balance portfolio. Set dividends to be reinvested, and when you have an extra 2K, you just add to your positions. But what if you are just starting out?

We got you covered as well. With capital of around $350, which is subject to change, you can easily get a diversified portfolio investing in the motif below.

We do all the work. When we update a motif, you get a notification to update as well. You get complete control over your money while using our strategies. We have several motifs in each category depending on your risk tolerance. How do you determine risk tolerance? Do you want to be hands-on, or just forget about it? Can you deal with large amounts of volatility or not?

How you answer those questions determine your risk tolerance. If you want a more interactive approach, then you pick motifs with more volatility. If you just want to set it and forget it, less volatility is better. Motif investing tells you the volatility of each motif when you set up an account. They also provide a slew of tools to figure out what the best strategy is for you. We also broke down our Motifs by categories to best suit your needs.

Commission is as followed when using Motif Investing. Most services charge a $5 to $10 trade commission for one particular stock. If you invest in a motif, however, you’re getting up to 30 stocks for just $9.95.

The $9.95 fee applies whether you buy a motif as it comes, customized how you want it, or if you build it from the ground up. The $9.95 pricing also applies to when you sell motifs, buy additional entire motifs that you own, or if you rebalance positions in a motif. There is also an even a more affordable option. With Next Market Open Trades, your trades on Motif cost $0 and are executed on the trading day following your decision to purchase. When we rebalance any of our motifs, we do before the market opens to take advantage of this low rate.

There are some other fees with Motif Investing, but most of them you’ll probably never experience. Here’s a list of Motif Investing fees and additional pricing details. Motif Investing is the best bang for the buck when it comes to the strategies we recommend to grow your wealth.
